
Steelheads, Reign Announce Playoff Dates

Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads and the Ontario Reign have released the schedule of games for the upcoming ECHL Western Conference semifinal series, presented by KeyBank.
The best-of-seven series begins on Friday, April 19, at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. The Reign will host Games 1 and 2 before the series shifts back to CenturyLink Arena in Boise for Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary). Should Games 6 of 7 be necessary, they would be held in Ontario. Once again, the SportZone inside CenturyLink Arena will host free "watch parties" for all road games in this series.
Here is the complete schedule (all times listed are Mountain Time):
Game 1: Friday, April 19, Idaho at Ontario (8 PM)
Game 2: Saturday, April 20, Idaho at Ontario (7 PM)
Game 3: Wednesday, April 24, Ontario at Idaho (7:10 PM)
Game 4: Friday, April 26, Ontario at Idaho (7:10 PM)
Game 5**: Saturday, April 27, Ontario at Idaho (7:10 PM)
Game 6**: Tuesday, April 30, Idaho at Ontario (8 PM)
Game 7**: Wednesday, May 1, Idaho at Ontario (8 PM)

The Steelheads went 5-3-1 against the Reign during the regular season, winning three of the five head-to-head matchups at CenturyLink Arena in Boise. The two teams have met once in the post-season. Idaho defeated the Reign in a best-of-five, first-round series last season.
The teams had nearly identical records during the regular season - Idaho was 45-20-7 while Ontario went 46-19-7 - with the Reign winning the Pacific Division championship to secure the no. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Idaho is the no. 3 seed. The Reign ousted Utah in the first round of the playoffs with a four-game sweep, while Idaho eliminated Colorado in Game 6 of their best-of-seven first-round series.
