Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads kick off the Larry Miller Subaru Mitsubishi West Coast Hockey League playoffs against the defending Taylor Cup Champion Fresno Falcons tonight at the Bank of America Centre. The two teams have only met once before for post-season action; the 2001-02 Taylor Cup Championship round where Fresno won the series 4-2.

Idaho vs Fresno - All-time regular season record versus the Falcons: 29-21-4. All-time playoffs versus the Falcons: 2-4 (2001-02)

IN THE RECORD BOOKS:

The Steelheads 48th win on 3/21/2003 against Long Beach set a team franchise record. (The previous two seasons ended with 47 wins.) The record for most wins in a season is held by San Diego for their 53-10-1 record during the 1997-98 season.

The Steelheads set a WCHL record for most home wins at 30. The team finished the season at home with a 32-3-1record. The record was set by San Diego in 1995-96 (29-1-0 in 30 GP); and tied by San Diego in 1996-97 (29-1-2 in 32 GP) and again by Idaho in 2001-02 (29-6-1 in 36 GP).

The Steelheads have set a team record this season for points in a season with 106; their previous record was 102 (2001-02).

Tonight's game starts at 7:05 p.m. ThunderStix and T-shirts will be handed out to fans to promote the "White Out" while supplies last.
