
Steelheads Complete Trade with the Sarnia Sting

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads have completed a trade with the Sarnia Sting sending Kai Schwindt to the Sting in exchange for Guelph's ninth-round pick in 2024.
Kai Schwindt joined the Mississauga Steelheads as a walk-on in July of 2021, signing a Standard Player Agreement with the club. The Breslau, Ontario native skated in 135 games for the Blue and White, recording 42 points (24G, 18A), also appearing in 15 playoff games, totaling 4 points (1G, 3A).
On September 30th 2022, Kai signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers. Kai played in 1 game with the Panthers' AHL Affiliate Charlotte Checkers during the 2023-24 campaign before being sent to the ECHL's Florida Everblades.
