
Steelheads Aquire Emergency Backup Goalie, Resume Playoff Series With Anchorage

Boise, ID. - The Idaho Steelheads resume their first round Larry Miller Subaru Mitsubishi Taylor Cup Playoff first round series against the Anchorage Aces tonight at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. The series is noted at one game apiece, game time is 9:00 PM MDT. Game four will be Friday also in Anchorage. Game five if necessary will be Saturday at the BofA Centre. Also the Steelheads announced Scott Rideout will serve as their emergency backup goaltender. Rideout played this past season for the University of Calgary.
Rideout posted an 18-10-1 record with a 2.68 GAA and a save percentage of .914 during the 2001-02 season. The 6'3" 200 pound native of Fruitvale, B.C. played three years in the Western Hockey League. This season he helped the University of Calgary Dinos to a 7th place finish in the final Canadian College hockey regular season poll.
