Steelheads Acquire Bourne

Boise, ID- The Idaho Steelheads today announced the acquisition of winger Justin Bourne from the Reading Royals in exchange for future considerations.

Bourne, 25, hails from Kelowna, British Columbia, and did not register a point in the one game he played for Reading this season. Last season, he scored 16 goals and added 15 assists for the Utah Grizzlies, and also saw action in 16 games for the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where Bourne had two goals and three assists. Bourne began his professional career with the Alaska Aces in 2006-07 after finishing his fourth season at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

In other moves for the Steelheads, forward Curtis Billsten was activated from the 3-day IR, while forward Derek Paget was placed on the 3-day IR.
