St. Louis Steamers News Release
St. Louis, MO, Feb. 21, 2005 - Steamers President and CEO Michael Hetelson announced today that player/coach Daryl Doran underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday.
Doran, 41, underwent successful knee surgery yesterday morning to repair his knee. The surgery was performed by Dr. Tim Farley at Missouri Bone & Joint Center, the official medical facility of the St. Louis Steamers. Doran will begin the rehabilitation process immediately and will be sidelined for three to four weeks. He is only expected to miss two games.
The surgery was first discussed about being performed during the holiday break but Doran and Hetelson decided to wait. Heteleson said, "There were reports that this injury was career threatening, but those reports were irresponsible and overexaggerated. This will give Daryl time to focus on his coaching duties which are very important right now."
