CO-GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Nick Vorberg, Milwaukee Wave

Nick Vorberg was outstanding last week, going 3-0 with a 2.63 goals against average and an .826 save percentage (38 saves on 46 shots faced). The 30-year- old saved 13 shots in a 6-2 win in Philadelphia last Wednesday, then allowed six goals in 122 minutes in victories at St. Louis (7-3 on Saturday) and versus Chicago (4-3 in overtime on Sunday). Vorberg, who last earned weekly accolades on October 25, leads the league with a 3.73 goals against average (nearly a full goal better than St. Louis' Brett Phillips, in second place at 4.56) and is also first with a .755 save percentage.

CO-GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Sanaldo, Kansas City Comets

Kansas City's Sanaldo shares Goalkeeper of the Week honors with Nick Vorberg by virtue of a perfect game on Saturday, as the 27-year-old saved all 12 shots he faced in a 4-0 shutout of the Philadelphia KiXX at Kemper Arena. The clean sheet is the first of the 2004-05 season, only the fourth in the league since 1998, and Kansas City's first shutout since Warren Westcoat blanked the Florida ThunderCats 21-0 on March 28, 1999. Sanaldo also led the Comets to an 8-7 win over Baltimore on Friday night. This marks the first weekly award of the season for the Brazilian (7-6, 5.76 goals against average), who was an All-Rookie selection in 2003-04.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chris Morman, Milwaukee Wave

Chris Morman wins his second straight Defensive Player of the Week award after scoring three points and blocking five shots in three wins. The 27-year-old scored a point in all three outings, with assists on February 16 and 20 and the game-winning goal in Milwaukee's 7-3 victory over St. Louis on the 19th. The Wave's defense permitted only eight scores in the three contests, further solidifying their status as the MISL's best this season (allowing 4.4 goals per game). Morman stands as the club's third-leading scorer with 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) and is tied for the team lead with 31 blocks.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Vlatko Andonovski, Kansas City Comets

Vlatko Andonovski continued an impressive season with six points in two Kansas City wins last week. The high-scoring defender scored three goals (including the game-winner) and four points as the Comets held on for an 8-7 win over Baltimore on Friday night, then recorded a goal and assisted on the game-winner in Kansas City's 4-0 triumph over Philadelphia on Saturday. Andonovski, 28, also blocked three shots in the two games. The native of Skopje, Macedonia, has now scored 30 points (tied for ninth in the MISL) and blocked 31 shots this season. This is his first weekly recognition of 2004-05.
