
Steamers battle Philadelphia and Chicago this weekend for playoff positioning

ST. LOUIS, March 31, 2005 -The St. Louis Steamers will host the Philadelphia Kixx on Saturday night at Savvis Center before traveling to Chicago to face the Storm on Sunday night.
Saturday's game will mark the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season and the first of a back-to-back set for the Steamers. St. Louis has posted a 10-8 record in back-to-back games this season, including a 5-4 mark in the first game and a 5-4 record in the second game. The Steamers have posted a 2-1 record against the Kixx this season, including a 1-0 mark at Savvis Center. The Steamers have won both games against Philadelphia in overtime. St. Louis has tallied three power play goals in seven attempts (42.8%) and have killed one of four penalties (25.0%) in the three games versus Philadelphia. St. Louis has posted an 11-5 record at home this season and are outscoring their opponents 98-82 on home turf.
The Steamers have posted a 3-2 record against the Storm this season but are winless (0-2) in their two matches in Chicago. St. Louis has notched three power play goals in 12 attempts (25.0%) against the Storm this season and have killed nine of 12 penalties (75.0%) in the five games versus Chicago. The Steamers have notched a 7-10 record on the road this season.
