Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- The Rockford Lightning and TDS Metrocom have announced that they will team up to help a worthy cause with "Stealing for Healing." Anytime a Lightning player nabs a steal, TDS Metrocom will donate $10 to Crusader Clinic of Rockford from now until the end of the year. Crusader Clinic is a not-for-profit community health center that provides access to primary health care to those on limited incomes including those without health insurance.

TDS Metrocom has been providing local phone and high-speed Internet services to the Rockford community since 2001 and will continue to support local, non-profit organizations such as the Crusader Clinic.

"It's great to have this partnership with TDS Metrocom to help benefit Crusader Clinic and we are confident the Rockford Lightning players respond so that we can raise money for our cause," says Crusader Clinic's Vice President Development Linda Niemiec

At the end of the season, a check will be presented to Crusader Clinic for the total amount donated from steals.
