Here's what's happening in Lightning land

Rockford, IL- Rockford Lightning fans, gear up for a busy week as the Bolts have plenty of activities going on. It all starts on Wednesday, and culminates with back-to-back matinee games at the MetroCentre on Saturday and Sunday.

Things get started on Wednesday night at Don Pablo's Mexican Kitchen, with the next Miller Lite "Meet The Team Party." From 7-8 p.m., fans can meet and greet their favorite Rockford Lightning players and get autographs. There will be food and Miller Lite specials, so come check it out!

Then, the Lightning return to action on Thursday night, as they host the Western Conference leading Dakota Wizards at 7:05 p.m. All tickets for kids 12 and under with a paying adult are half-price for the game. Following the game, there will be a Miller Lite post-game party at J-Bears Place, located one block south of the MetroCentre.

Friday, February 11, the Lightning players and coaches will be out again at a Miller Lite "Meet and Greet" at The Cave. The Cave is a new restaurant that just opened in the location of the old Mayflower Restaurant on North Second Street in Loves Park. Don't miss another opportunity to meet and greet Lightning players, get autographs, and talk a little Lightning basketball.

Saturday, February 12, the Lightning return to action as they host the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 1:05 p.m. The Lightning and Skyforce have already played once at the MetroCentre, with the Lightning capturing the win 111-103 back on December 9. The first 1,000 fans receive a rally towel courtesy of Axberg Heating, WTVO-17, UPN and Q98.5. America's Best Frisbee Dogs, "Just 4 Kix" Dance Team and Elite Defense Team will also be performing at halftime.

Sunday, February 13 caps off the week with a 3:05 p.m. tip-off against the Yakima Sun Kings at the Rockford MetroCentre. Be one of the first 1,000 fans to get a hat courtesy of Union Savings Bank, WIFR-23, and B103. The Rockford Chariots Wheelchair basketball team will play an exhibition and the world-famous "Amazing Christopher" will be performing at halftime of Sunday's game.
