
Stay-in-School basketball team to hit the hardwood

WINNIPEG, MB â The Winnipeg Blue Bombers off-season basketball team will take to the court again this year as part of its Stay-in-School Program. The team's first game is scheduled for 12:35 a.m., Jan.19th at Shaftesbury High School.
The Stay-in-School basketball program features Bomber players taking on members of the Winnipeg Police Service in friendly basketball competitions.
At each school, the students are treated to a noon-hour basketball game in the school gym. At half time the players talk to the students about the importance of a complete education.
The off season basketball team includes Lamar McGiggs, Ryland Wickman, Doug Brown, Jon Oosterhuis, Wes Lysack, Moe Elewonibi, Dave Mudge, Wade Miller, Boyd Barrett, Matt Sheridan and Markus Howell.
