Orlando Mayhem News Release

ORLANDO, FL – Orlando Starz owner and CEO Marsha Beatty announced that the Independent Women's Football League team will play the remainder of its 2003 schedule at Dr. Phillips High School, located on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando.

"It's an excellent playing facility that allows us to put on a first-class operation,'' Beatty said of Dr. Phillips. "Plus the location is unbeatable. Fans can be at all the nightlight spots, including our post-game activities, within minutes.

Orlando begins a four-game home stand May 10th against the Tampa Bay Terminators. The Starz will play the Miami Fury on May 17 and May 24 and the Atlanta Xplosion May 31.

Tickets prices will remain at $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for youth. Group rates available. All non-profit groups may e-mail the Starz for FREE tickets for their organization.

Featuring quarterback Kahs Sky-Deer and Charlotte Chambers, the 70-year old "Gridiron Granny" who has been profiled on CNN, and BET, the Starz are members of the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL) -- a full tackle women's football league focused on creating a positive, safe and fun environment for the women who play the game and fans that come out to watch them. The IWFL currently has 28 teams across North America from Florida to Montreal and Oregon to Massachusetts. The league championship game will be held July 12. Orlando is in the South Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. And 2002 champions of that division.
