ORLANDO, FLA – Orlando Starz owner and CEO Marsha Beatty announced today changes in the coaching staff of the Independent Women's Football League team.

Effective immediately, Mike Vessio will handle head coaching duties. Also joining the staff is Martino Rosanova, who will serve as special teams coordinator

"When you've been outscored 47-0, it's time to make a change,'' Beatty said. "Wes has other commitments and we respect that. We feel that Mike has the desire and the passion to take the talent this team has and turn it into a winner."

Vessio, a native of the Bronx, New York, was a standout performer at Mahopac High School, where he earned all Conference and All District awards. He is employed at Tees and Cues in Maitland as the General Manager.

"Mike has the commitment to help us continue our winning ways,'' says Beatty. "We've strengthened our numbers and have had the focus in practice to put us in position to run the table the rest of the season." Orlando (0-2) faces the Miami Fury (1-0) Saturday at 6 p.m.
