
Stars to Face RailHawks in League Quarterfinals

BLAINE, Minn. (Oct. 3, 2010) -- The NSC Minnesota Stars will take on the NASL Conference champion Carolina RailHawks in the first round of the USSF D-2 Pro League playoffs. The RailHawks claimed the second overall seed in the playoffs on the league's final weekend with a 3-1 win over the Austin Aztex.
The Stars face the RailHawks at NSC Stadium in Blaine at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The second leg of the total-goal series is in Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The other two-legged series are as follows: (No. 1 seed) Rochester Rhinos vs. (8) Puerto Rico Islanders (2) Carolina RailHawks vs. (7) NSC Minnesota Stars (3) Austin Aztex vs. (6) Montreal Impact (4) Portland Timbers vs. (5) Vancouver Whitecaps FC
