Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup champions, announce that forwards Kory Karlander and Nick Bootland have been named to the end of the season UHL All-Star Team.

Karlander was selected to league's First Team. During the regular season, Karalander was Kalamazoo's top offensive weapon, leading the team in scoring (88 points), goals (45), plus/minus (+20) and power-play goals (20).

With 45 goals, the native of Melita, Manitoba set the K-Wings' UHL franchise record for goals in a single-season. Other regular season highlights for Karlander include, being selected as both a player and starter in the UHL's All-Star Classic and going on an 11-game goal and point streak (12/31/06-01/26/07). The goal streak was both a league and team high.

Karlander also established K-Wing UHL franchise records for both game-winning goals (12) and power-play tallies (32) in a career. On April 7, Karlander was selected as the K-Wings' Kalamazoo Gazette Most Valuable Player.

The selection to the UHL All-Star Team is the first for Karlander, who becomes the fourth member of the K-Wings to ever honored on the First-Team (Guy Dupuis 2003-04, Joel Martin and Greg Labenski 2005-06)

Selected to UHL's Second team is Nick Bootland. The eight-year pro finished the season second on the K-Wings and fourth overall in the UHL with 85 points. Kalamazoo's Captain led the team in assists (45), game-winning goals (9) and shots (368). Bootland also tied Karlander for the team lead in shorthanded goals (5).

Like Karlander, Bootland's brilliance earned him a spot in the starting lineup of the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic. Bootland went on a K-Wings' season high 12-game point streak (02/11/07-03/07/07) and earning the team's Pepsi Sportsmanship Award during the annual player award ceremony on April 7th.

Bootland's nomination to the All-Star Team is the first in his career. Nick becomes the third member of the K-Wings to ever be selected to the UHL's Second Team (Chad Alban 2003-04, Daniel Carriere 2005-06).
