COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Stars have announced some of the exciting events surrounding the United Hockey League team's home opening weekend, October 31 and November 2 at the Ohio Expo Center Coliseum. Opening night includes a chance to win $10,000!

ALL WEEKEND – 10 PREMIUM SEATS FOR $100!!! To introduce the Stars and the UHL to Columbus, groups of ten premium tickets (normally priced at $120) are being offered for $100. For just ten bucks a person, you can sit in some of the best seats in the house and find out what it is to "Get Close to the Game!"

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 – vs. Fort Wayne Komets – 7:00 p.m. OPENING NIGHT! CHANCE TO WIN $10,000! SCHEDULE MAGNET NIGHT! Join the Stars as they take on the defending Colonial Cup Champion Fort Wayne Komets in a 7:00 p.m. start that matches cities that first faced off in the International Hockey League in 1966.

The Komets are a fitting opponent for the return of minor-league hockey to Columbus, as is the chance to win $10,000! One lucky fan, chosen by random seat location will have a chance to win the big prize depending on when the Stars score their first home goal. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 - vs. Muskegon Fury – 4:00 p.m. SCOUT DAY! STARS' SUNDAY FAMILY DAY! The Stars take on the Muskegon Fury in the first of eight Sunday matinees at the Fairgrounds Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. Sunday is Simon Kenton Council Scout Day with the Stars. Columbus' newest pro hockey team hosts Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies from all over Central Ohio with special ticket prices and a ton of family fun.

Sunday's are always Family Days at the Stars' game. Special family-based intermission games and in-game fun help bring families together by getting "Close to the Game".
