
Stars Acquire Rights to Sediq Garuba in the 2023 NBA G League International Draft

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, acquired the rights to guard Sediq Garuba in the 2023 NBA G League International Draft, held Wednesday.
Garuba (6-4, 178, Spain) is currently representing Spain in the U19 World Championship, and has averaged 6.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in over 21 minutes this season with Cartagena. He recorded a career high 15 points on Jan. 11, 2023.
Born in Madrid, Spain, Garuba joined Real Madrid at just 11 years old after playing for EDM Azuqueca. He is the brother of Houston Rockets forward, Usman Garuba.
