BLAINE, Minn. - Two second half goals carried the Austin Aztex past the NSC Minnesota Stars 2-1 Saturday night in front of 753 fans at the NSC Stadium. Brian Cvilikas put the Stars ahead in the 36th minute after getting behind the Aztex defense. The game turned on the Stars in the 44th minute when Daniel Wasson was adjudged to be the last man back after tripping the Aztex's Eddie Johnson in the penalty area. Stars goalkeeper saved the ensuing penalty, but the Stars defense was finally undone in the 75th minute when Eddie Johnson headed in a Jay Needham cross. Eight minutes later, Jamie Watson's breakaway goal won the game for the Aztex, who had Joey Worthen sent off only minutes earlier. Simone Bracalello and Neil Hlavaty had chances to tie the game late, but couldn't find a way past Gallardo.
