Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders travel to Regina on Saturday to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the annual Hall of Fame game. Kickoff at Mosaic Stadium is 5 p.m. MDT.

The Stampeders (5-2) are bidding for a third straight win overall but are still seeking their first road victory after losses in Montreal and Ottawa earlier this season. Calgary earned a share of top spot in the West Division on Saturday by beating the RedBlacks 48-3 at McMahon Stadium.

The Roughriders (0-7) were on a bye last week and are looking to get into the win column after a number of close calls. Five of Saskatchewan's seven losses have been by four points or less.

The Stamps and Riders met twice in 2014 with Calgary winning both contests including a 31-24 decision in Regina in Week 15.

Saturday's contest marks the conclusion of three days of ceremonies honouring this year's inductees into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, a group that includes three men with strong ties to the Stamps - Dave Dickenson, Eddie Davis and Bob O'Billovich.

Others being enshrined are Leroy Blugh, Gene Makowsky, Larry Reda and Bob Wetenhall.

The Stamps' next home game is on Monday, Sept. 7 at 2:30 p.m. MDT as they face the Edmonton Eskimos in the annual Labour Day Classic.
