Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent import receivers Tyrone Calico, Chris Jackson and Jessie Burton.

Calico has the most extensive pro experience of the trio, having been taken by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2003 National Football League Draft. He played 27 games over three seasons with the Titans and caught 42 passes.

"Tyrone has the physical skills to be a good player in our league," said Stamps head coach/general manager John Hufnagel. "He has speed, size and big-play potential. We realize Tyrone has a pending off-field situation but we're comfortable with him as a person and feel good about bringing him up here."

Jackson came out of Millsaps College in 2007 and spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also had a spell on the Toronto Argonauts practice roster last September. Burton is a product of Tennessee-Martin, where he was a receiver/returner.
