The Calgary Stampeders have signed national defensive back Zacary Alexis and national linebacker Brad Friesen as undrafted free agents.

Zacary Alexis

College: Montreal

Height: 6.02

Weight: 173

Born: Feb. 25, 1993

National

Alexis played 16 games over three seasons (2015-17) at the Universite de Montreal. He earned Quebec conference all-star honours in 2015 after recording 30.5 tackles, two pass breakups and one interception that he returned for a touchdown. Over his career with the Carabins, he had 52.5 tackles, three interceptions and three pass breakups. His 2017 season was limited to two games because of a knee injury.

Brad Friesen

Linebacker

College: UBC

Height: 6.03

Weight: 209

Born: Mar. 28, 1995

Birthplace: Edmonton, AB

National

Friesen played three seasons (2013-15) at the University of Calgary before transferring to UBC. Over four combined seasons with the Dinos and Thunderbirds, he played 26 games and recorded 70 tackles with one sack, two forced fumbles and two kick blocks.
