The Calgary Stampeders have signed American receivers Shawn Bane, Dorren Miller, Fred Trevillion and Aaren Vaughns.

Shawn Bane

Receiver

College: Northwest Missouri State

Height: 5.11

Weight: 170

Born: June 9, 1995

Birthplace: Sarasota, FL

American

Bane spent time with the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons in 2019 following a four seasons (2015-18) at Northwest Missouri St. He earned all-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association second-team honours from 2016-18. Bane finished his Bearcats career with 212 receptions for 3,363 yards and 31 touchdowns in addition to 18 rushes for 51 yards and one score. He was also used in the return game, totaling 74 punt returns for 878 yards and two touchdowns along with 57 kickoff returns for 1,254 yards. Bane was named the MIAA freshman of the year in 2015.

Dorren Miller

Receiver

College: Carson-Newman

Height: 6.02

Weight: 195

Born: Aug. 3, 1994

Birthplace: Rutherfordton, NC

American

Miller signed with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018 and Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. In two seasons (2016-17) at Carson-Newman, Miller he played 22 games, making 46 receptions for 966 yards and six touchdowns. His 866 receiving yards as a senior were the sixth-highest total single-season total in school history. Prior to his time at Caron-Newman, Miller spent two seasons (2014-15) at Georgia Military College where he tallied 11 receptions for 298 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore in 2015.

Fred Trevillion

Receiver

College: San Diego State

Height: 6.02

Weight: 200

Born: Oct. 13, 1994

Birthplace: Brookhaven, MS

American

Trevillion signed with the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2019.He was a defensive back when he started his collegiate career at San Diego State in 2014 and made the conversion to receiver while attending Southwest Mississippi College in 2016 - making eight catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns in six games. Trevillion remained on the offensive side of the ball when he returned to San Diego State in 2017 and, in two seasons at receiver for the Aztecs, he had 34 catches for 925 yards and five touchdowns. Trevillion also returned two kickoffs for 52 yards.

Aaren Vaughns

Receiver

College: Utah State

Height: 5.07

Weight: 185

Born: May 4, 1995

Birthplace: Altadena, CA

American

Vaughns attended mini-camp with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts in 2019.He played 25 games over two seasons (2017-18) at Utah State and accumulated 47 catches for 736 yards and five touchdowns. He also had 18 carries for 199 yards and one score, one pass completion for 29 yards and a touchdown and two kickoff returns for 39 yards. Prior to attending Utah State, Vaughns spent two seasons at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.
