Saturday's win tied Coach Joe Wolf with Rory White in all-time Stampede coaching wins at 44. A win this weekend will make him the all-time leader.

Doors opened and a public proposal
In case you missed it, Qwest Arena was host to several special events mixed in with the Stampede basketball game. Saturday was a celebration of Operation Opening Doors. This program has raised over $34,000 and over $4,000 was raised during the game. At halftime, a check was presented to Brigadier General Gayhart who commanded the troops in Iraq. Operation Opening Doors is beginning its second home retrofitting project for an airperson in the 124th that has completed tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Also on Saturday was a special belated Valentine's Day surprise when Petty Officer Frank Gifford proposed to Annie Crosby at mid-court during the first quarter. Petty Officer Gifford and the Stampede coordinated the secret proposal by integrating it into a "musical chairs" contest and when she grabbed the last chair, Gifford dropped to one knee and popped the question!

Stampede school visits
This week some Stampede players will be visiting some schools around the Treasure Valley. On Wednesday, players will be visiting St. Joseph's Elementary School in Boise to sign autographs. Then on Thursday, Eric Chenowith, Greg Clausen and Ricky Sanchez will visit Middleton Middle School's Career Exploratory Class and answer questions about how they got to where they are and what it takes to get there.

If you would like more information about these visits, contact Vince Hordemann, 388-4667.

Piano Juggler
For the first time ever, the famous Piano Juggler will be visiting Qwest Arena. This Friday and Saturday, Dan Menendez the "Piano Juggler" will be the halftime performer. Combining humor, juggling and music, his performance is definitely memorable.
