Stampede Weekly Update: Herd Return Home Saturday Night to Face Sioux City

The Stampede (9-4-1) close out their long road stretch this Friday when they travel to Waterloo to face the Black Hawks at 7:05 PM. It will end a stretch in which 12 of their first 15 games were played on the road.

The Herd return home this Saturday to face the Sioux City Musketeers at 7:05 PM at the Sioux Falls Arena! It will begin a stretch of five straight home games for the Herd.

Waterloo enters this week with a 8-3-0 record and trails the Stampede by three points in the standings while Sioux City is the hottest team in the league having won eight straight games to improve to 9-2-1 on the season and tied with the Stampede with 19 points.

Stampede sweep Phantoms in Youngstown

The Stampede swept the Youngstown Phantoms over the weekend in Youngstown. On Friday, the Herd rolled over the Phantoms 6 to 1 and on Saturday, Sioux Falls posted a 3 to 1 victory in Youngstown.

Furniture Mart Night this Saturday!

The Stampede have teamed up with The Furniture Mart this Saturday for the $1,000 Shopping Spree Shootout! Now through 5 PM Wednesday, fans can register at The Furniture Mart on 41st Street (inside the Western Mall) for a chance to shoot for a $1,000 shopping spree at The Furniture Mart.This contest is open to fans 18 years and older.

Four winners will be selected an automatically win a $100 gift card from The Furniture Mart and two tickets to this Saturday's game against Sioux City. The four winners will then be brought on to the ice during the first intermission and given one shot from the blue line to score through a designated target. If the puck goes in, the contestant will win a $1,000 shopping spree at The Furniture Mart! Hurry, you have until Wednesday to get signed up!

Furniture Mart Night giveaway this Saturday

The first 500 fans through the doors on Saturday will receive a FREE Furniture Mart water bottle! In addition, fans who participate in "Chuck-A-Puck" on Saturday will have a chance to win a La-Z-Boy recliner! A target will be displayed at center ice during the contest and the puck that lands closest to the target will have their choice of a La-Z-Boy recliner or a $500 gift card to The Furniture Mart .

Military Night set for Nov. 16

Mark your calendars for next Saturday, November 16th and Military Night presented by the South Dakota Army National Guard. The Stampede will be paying tribute to Military members and their families before and during the game.

The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a FREE Military Dog Tag, compliments of the South Dakota Army National Guard! Doors open at 6:15 and tickets are available through the Sioux Falls Arena box office or any Ticketmaster location. Military members can purchase tickets for $5 in advance through the Stampede office or $6 the nigh of the game.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camp in Sioux Falls November 9 & 16

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hockey is coming to Sioux Falls this Saturday, November 9th and next Saturday, November 16th at the Sioux Falls Arena. The camp is just $20 per skater and led by Rick Randazzo, former head coach at the United States Naval Academy from 1999 to 2007.

Stampede assistant coach Dallas Steward will also help with the camp. Steward has been involved with FCA for several years and will be sharing his testimony after the clinic.

Franklin, Knutson & Kravchenko ready for World Junior A Challenge

C.J. Franklin, Zeb Knutson and Dennis Kravchenko begin play tonight for the U.S. Junior Select Team at the World Junior A Challenge in Canada. The tournament officially kicks off tonight as Team USA faces Team Russia at 6 PM (Central).

Team USA topped Canada West, 4-3 in an exhibition game on Saturday. Kravchenko tallied an assist in the win for the U.S.
