
Stampede Re-Acuire Phil Pressey

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede announced today that the team has re-acquired guard Phil Pressey. The Stampede held his returning player rights. He fills the roster spot left by Jack Cooley, who is pursuing other opportunities.
Pressey (5-11, 175, Missouri) was the first NBA D-League GATORADE Call-Up of the 2015-16 season, appearing in 14 games as a reserve for the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 3.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 12.1 minutes of action. He was waived by Philadelphia on Dec. 4.
The 24-year-old guard has appeared in 139 career NBA games (11 starts), averaging 3.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 13.7 minutes per game. He was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Boston Celtics in July of 2013, spending two seasons in Boston. Pressey spent the 2015 preseason with the Portland Trail Blazers.
A Dallas native, Pressey played three years at Missouri (2010-13), averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 33.9 minutes in 34 games as a junior. His father, Paul, played 11 seasons in the NBA with stints in Milwaukee, San Antonio and Golden State.
