
Stampede Look to Continue Four-Game Winning Streak at Home this Weekend

The Stampede look to extend their four-game winning streak at home this week when they host Des Moines on Wednesday and Waterloo on Friday. Game times are 7:05 PM.
The Stampede are 14-17-2 on the season and just three points behind third place Fargo with two games in hand. The Stampede are coming off a 5-1 win at Lincoln on Friday and a 6-1 win versus Tri-City on Saturday. The Stampede have outscored opponents 20-4 during their four-game winning streak. The Herd close out the weekend with a game at Omaha on Saturday.
Des Moines is 6-20-3 on the season and in sixth place in the West Division, Waterloo is 20-10-1 and in fourth place in the East Division, Omaha is 17-12-4 and in second place in the West.
HARTZELL NAMED USHL
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK-
Stampede netminder Eric Hartzell has been named Stauber's Goalcrease USHL "Goaltender-of-the-Week" for the second straight week.
The White Bear Lake, MN native stopped 61 of 63 shots in two victories for the Herd last week. Hartzell stopped 31 of 32 shots in Friday's win at Lincoln and 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's win versus Tri-City. Hartzell is 4-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and a .965 save percentage in his last four starts.
STAMPEDE "VALUE NIGHT"
WEDNESDAY NIGHT-
This Wednesday is another Stampede "Value Night" at the Sioux Falls Arena when the Herd host Des Moines at 7:05 PM. Fans can enjoy small popcorn for just $1 all night long! In addition, 16-ounce cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer will sold at a discounted price of $2.75!
FAMILY NIGHT THIS FRIDAY-
The final "Family Night" of the season will take place this Friday when the Herd host Waterloo at 7:05 PM. For just $35, fans can receive: Four (4) Game Tickets, Four (4) Hot Dogs, Four (4) Pepsi Soft Drinks, Two (2) Medium Popcorns and a certificate for $5 in Free Ethanol Fuel good at all participating South Dakota merchants, compliments of the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council. Family Night packages can be purchased at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.
SHAWN JOHNSON TO SPEAK AT USHL ALL-STAR DINNER -
The Stampede announced last week that Olympic Gold Medalist Gymnast, Shawn Johnson will be the keynote speaker at the USHL All-Star Dinner on Tuesday, February 3rd at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Tickets are $50 for dinner and the program and $20 for just the program.
The Stampede will be hosting the 2009 USHL All-Star Game on Wednesday, February 4th at 7:05 PM. 40 of the USHL's top prospects square off in a East Division vs. West Division battle. For the first time ever in South Dakota, the Stanley Cup will appear at the All-Star Game. Fans will have the opportunity to see the Cup in person and take pictures throughout the game.
JASON EARLES APPEARANCE RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 4TH-
The Stampede announced last week that Jason Earles appearance at the Stampede game on January 21st has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 4th when the Stampede host Tri-City at 7:05 PM.
Fans will a chance to meet Earles, better known as Jackson Stewart on the hit Disney TV show "Hannah Montana," in person during the game.
MURRAY NAMED TO ECHL
ALL-STAR GAME-
Former Stampede netminder John Murray has been named to the ECHL All-Star Game this Wednesday January 21st in Reading, PA. Murray will represent the National Conference in the game as well as the skills competition taking place tomorrow. Murray is 11-8-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .926 save percentage in 26 games for the Ontario Reign, the "AA" affiliate of the L.A. Kings.
