The Stampede continue their four game homestand this weekend with games against Cedar Rapids and Omaha at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Herd enter the week with a 19-15-6 record and three points behind Lincoln for third place in the West Division.

Friday night is Mueller Pallets "Fan Appreciation Night." Thousands of dollars in retail gift cards, prizes and Stampede merchandise will be given away, plus one fan will win two (2) airline tickets to anywhere in the United States, compliments of Mueller Pallets!

The RoughRiders enter the week in second place in the East Division with a 25-13-1 record. The Riders are coming off a weekend sweep of the Tri-City Storm with 4-1 and 5-1 victories. Doug Jones leads the team in scoring with 40 points in 39 games.

Saturday night, is the Avera McKennan/Orthopedic Institute "Airplane Toss." Fans must purchase official contest sheets and make his/her own airplane. Sheets are sold in increments of $1 each; 10 for $5 or 20 for $10. Immediately following the game, fans will toss their planes to the ice in attempts to win prizes such as: $500 in CASH from Your Local Chrysler Dealers; $250 in South Dakota Furniture Mart merchandise; $250 in Royal River Casino cash and one (1) Year of pure soap from Culligan and two (2) Free Easter Hams from The HoneyBaked Ham Company. All proceeds will benefit the Avera McKennan Children's Hospital and Clinics.

The Lancers are the top team in the West Division with a 29-9-3 record. The Lancers enter the weekend on a six-game winning streak and are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games. Barry Almeida leads the way offensively with 46 points in 38 games.

STAMPEDE TO WELCOME 1-MILLIONTH FAN ON FEBRUARY 24TH-

The Stampede and South Dakota Furniture Mart will welcome their 1-Millionth fan through the doors of the Sioux Falls Arena before the Sunday, February 24th game versus the Des Moines Buccaneers at 5:05 PM. Entering this weekend, the Stampede are 9,205 fans away from reaching 1-Million in just their ninth season!

The Stampede's lucky 1-Milionth fan will receive two (2) Round-Trip Airline Tickets to anywhere in the United States and a $500.00 shopping certificate compliments of South Dakota Furniture Mart plus two (2) Lifetime Stampede Season Tickets for all games played at the Sioux Falls Arena.

DINEEN SETS RECORD FOR

GAMES PLAYED-

Stampede forward Nick Dineen set a franchise record for most games played on Saturday, appearing in his 151st game. That broke the franchise record of 150 held by Nate Prosser (2003-06).

Dineen is in his third year with the Stampede and has posted 95 points in 151 career games (not including playoffs). The Omaha, NE native was a member of the Stampede's Anderson Cup and Clark Cup Championship teams. Teammate Jake Drewiske ranks fourth on the all-time list with 147 career games, trailing Dineen, Prosser and Rick Gorman (149).

In other Stampede news, Herd head coach Kevin Hartzell enters this weekend just nine wins shy of 300 for his USHL career.

STAMPEDE TO HOLD FIRST EVER

WEINER DOG RACES FEBRUARY 29TH!

On Friday, February 29th during the first intermission of the Herd's game versus Indiana the Stampede will host the first ever Weiner Dog race on arena ice!

We are currently looking for 20 Weiner dogs to register to be a part of this historic race! If you would like to register your Weiner Dog for the event, send an email to Jim Olander: olander@sfstampede.com with the following information:

The first 20 entries received will be entered in the race! You will then receive an email from Jim Olander with a registration form and rules for the contest. Each Weiner Dog must be accompanied by two (2) adults.

In addition, Second Chance Rescue and Dakota Dachshund will be in the front lobby with several adoptable dogs during the game on the 29th!

Fans can also purchase a special "Pet Rescue Package" of 10 ticket vouchers for $125 with portions of the cost benefiting Second Chance Rescue and Dakota Dachshund Rescue. The tickets can be used for any remaining Stampede home game. Contact Jim Olander for more details!
