Fort Wayne, IN --- The UHL announced today that Komet goalie Kevin St. Pierre has been named Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Jan. 11, 2004. St. Pierre completed the week posting a 2-0-0 record, 1.50 goals-against average, .959 save percentage and 1 shutout.

St. Pierre, 28, successfully stopped 70 of 73 shots faced in the 2 games played and posted his 2nd shutout of the season 4-0 at Rockford Wednesday. He registered his 17th win of the season Saturday 4-3 against the visiting Quad City Mallards making 39 saves. The Sherbrooke, Quebec native is riding a 3-game win streak and leads UHL goaltenders with a 2.22 average and .918 save percentage (T-Stu Dunn, PH, based on 690 or more minutes).

St. Pierre was also named November Goaltender of the Month and earned Goaltender of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 17-23, 2003. St. Pierre, named to the Western Conference All-Star Team, will be representing the Komets along with teammates Colin Chaulk and Kelly Perrault when the Comcast UHL All-Star Game takes place in Fort Wayne at the Memorial Coliseum this Sunday, Jan. 18, at 7:35pm.
