St. Patrick's Day in July Proves More Than Lucky for Bombers in Blow-Out Victory

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 17, 2015) - On Friday night, the Bombers concluded their two-game series with the Acadiana Cane Cutters with a 13-1 drubbing of the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Bombers have now won six games in a row heading into their upcoming series against the East Texas PumpJacks.

Friday night was St. Patty's Day in July at Cellucor Field with special St. Patrick's Day-themed uniforms worn by the players, sponsored by Brazos Valley Trash Valet. Friday the 17th was also FANtastic Friday and after the game, Black Irish Texas performed a post-game concert live at Cellucor Field.

Bombers' second baseman and TCL All-Star, Jimmy Norris, was named Cellucor Player of the Game after a huge night in the batter's' box and on the base paths. Jimmy went 4-for-5, with a double, a run scored, four RBI, and two stolen bases to break the Bombers' franchise record for stolen bases in a season, previously held by himself with 22 stolen bases in 2014.

The Bombers' record improves to 29-6 overall and 10-2 in the second half. In search of their ninth consecutive half-season championship; the Bombers hold a one game lead over the Victoria Generals, who currently sit in second place.

The four-game homestand continues on Saturday against the East Texas PumpJacks with Kids Free Saturday, when children 13 and under receive free admission thanks to Chicken Express. Saturday is also Antique Night at Cellucor Field, with an antique show taking place at the ballpark, sponsored by Craft and Antique Mall of College Station.
