St. Louis CITY SC Selects Forward Niko Gioacchini in 2022 Expansion Draft

ORLANDO, Fla. - On Friday evening, St. Louis CITY SC, Major League Soccer's (MLS) newest franchise, selected forward Niko Gioacchini from Orlando City SC (No. 1 overall) in the 2022 Expansion Draft for its inaugural MLS roster.
Gioacchini, 22, was acquired by the Lions from Stade Malherbe Caen of France's Ligue 2 on July 20 of this year. The Kansas City, Mo. native made two starts in seven appearances across all competitions for Orlando City since joining the side in July.
