
Chicago Fire FC Forward Jhon Durán and Defender Miguel Navarro Called up to National Team Duty for Friendlies During November International Break

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that forward Jhon Durán and defender Miguel Navarro have been called into national team duty for their respective countries for international friendlies during the upcoming FIFA break.
Durán will join the Colombia National Team for training camp in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. ahead of their international friendly against Paraguay on Saturday, Nov. 19 at DRV PNK Stadium. Navarro will join the Vinotinto for training camp and a pair of friendlies in Dubai, United Araba Emirates as Venezuela takes on Panama on Tuesday, Nov. 15 and Syria on Sunday, Nov. 20.
Durán recently joined Colombia for a three-day training camp under head coach Néstor Lorenzo from Oct. 18-20 in Barranquilla, Colombia. The 18-year-old forward recently made his Colombia National Team debut, replacing Radamel Falcao at halftime of the 4-1 win against Guatemala on Sept. 24. He also featured in stoppage time of the 3-2 win against Mexico on Sept. 27. During his first season in Major League Soccer, the Medellín, Colombia native made 27 appearances for the Chicago Fire (14 starts), scoring a team-leading eight goals and registering three assists.
Navarro was most recently called up for international friendly matches in September but was unable to join the squad due to injury. The defender has two caps for the Venezuela senior team, having debuted as a starter and playing 45 minutes in the 3-0 loss against Argentina on March 25 in Conmebol FIFA World Cup qualifying. He also entered at halftime of the 1-0 win against Saudi Arabia on June 9. Since joining the Fire in 2020, Navarro has appeared in 72 matches (59 starts).
