St. Joe Blacksnakes Raise Funds for Children's Miracle Network

SAINT JOSEPH, MO - The St. Joe Blacksnakes raised $395 for the Children's Miracle Network during the Singles Night Date Auction on Thursday, August 10. The funds will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network national office.
Blacksnakes pitcher Jesen Merle headlined the auction block at Phil Welch Stadium with a winning contribution of $100 made by Heidi Walker of St. Joseph, MO. Meanwhile, even some team members in both the Blacksnakes and Lincoln Saltdogs dugouts tried to help CMN as they took part in the bidding on KQ2's Emily Rittman. Other daters on the block were Maggie Crane and Ryan Menley from KQ2-TV, as well as Amber Cox and Lauren Chick from Chili's Grill & Bar Family Restaurant.
The Singles Night and Date Auction kicked off a six-game homestand for the St. Joe Blacksnakes at Phil Welch Stadium. The homestand continues with two more games against the Lincoln Saltdogs, followed by a three-game set versus the St. Paul Saints.
Several exciting promotions are also scheduled for the remainder of the homestand, including Friday Night Fireworks following tonight's game. On Saturday, August 12, the first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a free baseball cap courtesy of UMB Bank. As always, it will be an Ice Cream Sunday on August 13 with free ice cream for kids before the game, and kids can run the bases afterwards. Monday night's game on August 14 will be another Margarita Monday featuring margarita drink specials all evening long. Finally, the series with St. Paul wraps-up with a Two-for-Tuesday on August 15 as fans can take advantage of the two-for-the-price-of-one special: buy one covered or uncovered grandstand ticket at the gate, and get one free. All games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
