OWEN SOUND, ON- After meeting just twice in the OHL Regular Season, the Soo Greyhounds (6th seed) and Owen Sound Attack (3rd seed) will kick-off their Western Conference best-of-seven Quarter-Final series tonight, 7 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre here in Owen Sound.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Greyhounds went 0-2 versus the Attack in regular season play after losses of 7-5 (November 10 @ OS) and 2-1 (December 1 @ SSM).

Nick Cousins had a team-leading three points (0-3-3) against Owen Sound, while David Broll (2-0-2), Sergey Tolchinsky (2-0-2) and Brandon Alderson (1-1-2) had two points each.

Attack forwards Daniel Catenacci (2-5-7) and Cameron Brace (1-4-5) led Owen Sound in the head-to-head series with the Hounds.

HOW'D THEY FINISH?

The Hounds finished off the regular season with a record of 4-5-0-1 in their last 10 games. Finishing with three games on home ice, the locals dropped games to Plymouth and London while defeating Kitchener for the 2nd time in less than a week.

Owen Sound meanwhile was 7-1-0-2 in their last 10 while winning five consecutive game (Erie x2, Windsor and Sarnia x2)

LEADERS

Nick Cousins paced the Hounds scoring all-season racking up 103 points (27-76-103) in 64 games played. The Belleville, ON product became the first Greyhound since 1996-97 (Joe Thornton) to hit the 100-point plateau and finished 3rd overall in the OHL.

Andrew Fritsch scored 11 of his 27 goals this year on the powerplay leading the Hounds in that department while Cousins had a team best +/- rating of +19.

The Hounds have eight players who have scored over 20-goals this season, and another three who made it to double-digit scoring.

With Owen Sound, Daniel Catenacci has put together back-to-back seasons of 70+ points finishing the 2012-13 regular season with 38-41-79 totals. He's joined by Cameron Brace (35-39-74) and Cody Ceci (19-45-64) with over 50 points.

Ceci also tallied 13 goals on the powerplay Chris Bigras finished the year tops in the +/- department with a +35 rating.

WHO'S HOT?

Rookie centre Jared McCann ended the year with points in seven of his last nine games played. With 7 goals and 9 assists during that time, McCann ended the year with 44 points in 64 games and was 6th in the O.

Owen Sound OA defenceman Nathan Chiarlitti closed the year setting up eight goals in his last 9 games. Offensively Cameron Brace had points in five straight including 3 goals and 8 assists.

ON THE BLUELINE

The Hounds sport three of the league's top 17 in defenceman statistics. Mississauga, ON product Ryan Sproul averaged over a point per game with 66 points in just 50 games played.

He's joined by Colin Miller (6th) with 20-35-55 totals and Darnell Nurse (17th) 12-29-41).

Owen Sound acquisition Cody Ceci was a close second, 2 points behind Sproul factoring in with 19 goals and 45 assists (64pts) while playing 19 more games.
