
Squadron Top Capitanes 111-98 for Fourth Win in Last Five Games

MEXICO CITY, Mexico - Behind a strong offensive performance from forward James Kelly, Sr., the Birmingham Squadron topped the Mexico City Capitanes 111-98 on Monday night at Mexico City Arena.
Birmingham (10-20) never trailed in the final three quarters and held Mexico City (18-12) to its lowest offensive output since the Capitanes scored 90 against Capital City on March 6.
Kelly, Sr. led the Squadron in the scoring column with a season-high 28 on 12-of-15 shooting, while Kelan Martin supported with 25, including 4-of-6 from downtown.
Mexico City's Skylar Mays notched 25 and Gary Clark scored 21, including five triples on the night.
Birmingham has now won four of its last five contests, including one on the road at Iowa, the next opponent for the Squadron.
Iowa is set to play host to Birmingham Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The contest can be seen on My68 WABM or ESPN+.
