Sports win weekly American Association Awards

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release

The Shreveport Sports captured both American Association pitcher and batter of the week announced by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician of the league.

Catcher Justin Humphries was named batter of the week as he was 9 for 24 with two home runs and eight RBI's for the week.

Pitcher Colby Miller was named pitcher of the week. Miller hurled a complete game four-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Sioux Falls.

It was the first time the Sports have had both honors in one week.
