The Sioux Falls Canaries got great production form their offense en route to their 13th win of the second half. The Canaries plated 10 runs on 16 hits, led by 2B Trevor Lawhorn, who was 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored. 3B Matt Imwalle continued his hot hitting, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. Sioux Falls starter Pat Mahomes was outstanding on the mound. He allowed one run on eight hits and struck out eight in the complete game effort. He walked just one hitter and induced 12 groundouts en route to his ninth win of the season.

Shreveport 6, Pensacola 5

Trailing by three entering the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shreveport Sports rallied to tie the game, then won when 1B Tommy Bryant recorded his only hit of the night, a single to right center, driving in the game winner. Sports 2B Jack Joffrion had a big night at the dish, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Shreveport starting pitcher Colby Miller got the win thanks to a complete game effort in which he allowed five runs on 11 hits and struck out six. His record improved to 4-9 on the year. Pensacola LF Napoleon Calzado led the way in the losing effort. He was 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Fort Worth 4, Coastal Bend 1

The Fort Worth Cats got three runs in the first inning and never looked back, as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Coastal Bend. Cats starter Nicholas Martin surrendered just one run, a home run to William Lewis, in seven innings of work. He allowed four hits and struck out four to improve to 5-5 on the year. C Kelley Gulledge and DH Carlos Adolfo led the way for the Fort Worth offense. The duo combined to go 3-for-6 with a home run each and four RBI.

El Paso 5, Lincoln 1

The El Paso Diablos got a win at home thanks, in large part, to yet another great outing from starting pitcher Greg Wiltshire, who won his 11th game of the season. Wiltshire allowed one run on one hit through seven innings of work and struck out four in the win. Diablos DH Jorge Alvarez did most of the damage at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI. Wiltshire pitched into the eighth inning, when he surrendered the only run he allowed. Reliever Dustin Cameron took over, allowing just two hits while holding the lead.

St. Joe 17, St. Paul 1

The Blacksnakes offense went crazy on the road against St. Paul, pounding out 22 hits and plating 17 runs en route to an easy win. Of the 10 hitters that came to the plate for the Blacksnakes only one didn't record more than one hit. Four different players drove in three runs and three scored at least three times. The beneficiary of the run support was starting pitcher Alec Sheppard, who allowed one unearned run on seven hits through six innings to improve to 5-1 on the year. 1B Dustin Yount led all hitters. He was 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI.
