San Angelo, TX- Having lost their last 3 ballgames, the San Angelo Colts came to relalize that they're 2nd half of the season could very well be decided in the next few days. Dave Therneau took the mound after carrying a 1-hitter into the 7th inning just a few days prior and actually improved on that performance, as he led his team to a 6-0 victory over the Shreveport Sports.
In the game, Therneau K'd 6, as he allowed only 2 hits on the night. Those 2 hits both came in the 1st inning, and both were infield singles. Dave would respond by setting the next 18 Sports down in a row. The offense would be provided by a Tony James 2 run homer in the 3rd, a bases clearing double off the bat of Jorge Diaz and a Kasey Wilson solo homer in the 6th. For Therneau, the win was his 1st of the season, while the loss was tagged to Thad Markray who fell to 8-2.
Tonight marked the final time this year that San Angelo played Shreveport this season, with the 2 teams splitting 14 games on the season. Diaz, James and Eddie Gerald each had 2 hits for San Angelo.
