Jackson, MSâ In the rubber game of a 3 game series, the Jackson Senators used the long ball to defeat the Amarillo Dillas 6-5. Amarillo led 4-1 going in to the bottom of the 3rd, but Nick Sorensen led off the inning with a solo homer and Josh Tranum hit a 2 run homer to tie it up. The score remained 4-4 until the 8th inning as Amarillo scored a run on a base hit by Dallas McMann.
Amarillo led 5-4 going into the bottom of the 9th with closer Landon Stockman coming to the mound. Stockman struck out the lead off man, walked Selwyn Langainge and then struck out Randall Shelly. With 2 out, Simone Peters, who was 0-3 with 2 K's came to the plate and had a 1-2 count. A fastball was drilled by Peters over the right field wall to win the game and the Senators take 2 out of 3 in the series.
