Pelicans Start Road Trip with Two in a Row
The Pelicans have started their road trip hot with two wins over the Edinburg Roadrunners. On Tuesday, the Pelicans defeated the Roadrunners by a score of 8-5. The game was highlighted by a six-run seventh inning by the Pelicans, sparked by a Joe Espada grandslam. In Wednesday's game, the Pelicans won 9-4. Rafael Alvarez, Mike Rodriguez, and George Branch all hit homers in the Pelican win. The Pelicans play one more game at Edinburg, then travel to Robstown, TX to take on the Coastal Bend Aviators in a weekend series. The Pelicans return to Pensacola on Tuesday, July 13 at 7:05 vs. the San Angelo Colts. Call 850-934-8444 for your tickets today!

Fans can also play Hardball Bingo with the opportunity to win prizes! So fans are encouraged to come out to play Hardball Bingo and donate blood in support of your Pensacola Pelicans!

The Pelicans will be wearing their throwback jerseys from the days of the Pensacola Senators in the 1960's. Bennett Shuman will also be giving away Thundersticks to the first 400 fans in attendance. So Senator and Pelican fans alike, come out and support your hometown teams!

"Splash! North Florida's Entertainment Magazine" has teamed up with the Pelicans in an effort to take the fans to the beach for Margaritaville Night at Pelican Park. Don't forget to pick up a copy of Splash Magazine, it is sure to be a collectors item. Local musician Paul Killough will be playing the guitar before the game, and will be singing songs from the likes of Jimmy Buffet and many others. Gulf Winds Credit Union will also be giving away clappers to help get Pelican Park rockin'! So throw on your Hawaiian shirt and join us for a great summer night at Pelican Park!

What a better way than to spend your summer afternoon at Pelican Park! Bring your church bulletin to the ticket booth to receive $1 off admission into the game! John Paul Holmes, a local Christian rock musician, will be playing music before the game for the fans' enjoyment. Also, WXBM 102.7 will be giving away prizes during the game. So come on out and enjoy a day in the Florida sun at Pelican Park.
