Sporting Kansas City News Release
Sporting Kansas City will be in action twice this week as the club travels to play Union Omaha at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday at Caniglia Field on the campus of University of Nebraska-Omaha in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 before returning home to host the Houston Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park.
The mid-week match will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com while Saturday's showdown will be available to watch on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers. Radio coverage for both fixtures will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB in English and La Grande 1340 AM in Spanish with live audio streams available in the Sporting KC App.
Tickets for the Western Conference clash against Houston are available online via SeatGeek as the club will celebrate Sporting Salutes, an annual theme night to honor the service and sacrifice of military members and their families. Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show SKCvHOU -- including a watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District with food and drink specials for fans.
Fans can take advantage of free shipping orders over $49 at MLSstore.com until 10:59 p.m. CT on Tuesday with the code MLS49 (exclusions apply), including Sporting Kansas City spring arrivals in men's, women's and youth sizes.
New in 2024, Behind the Shield presented by Audi will be available after every match this season with the video series - produced by Sporting's full-time digital storytellers - providing fans with an immersive viewing experience highlighted by exclusive interviews and all-access footage from SKC players, trainings and matchdays. This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the club's road trip to Real Salt Lake and will premier at noon CT on Thursday on SportingKC.com and Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air from 7-8 p.m. CT this Thursday on Sports Radio 810 WHB with co-hosts Jon Kempin and Blake Aerni previewing Saturday's rematch with the Houston Dynamo. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com , giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.
Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members and members of Sporting KC supporters groups are eligible to receive complimentary tickets for Sporting away matches . Requests are currently open for Sporting's matches at the Portland Timbers on May 25, at Minnesota United FC on June 1 and at the LA Galaxy on June 15 while supplies last. Away ticket requests for Sporting's match at the Columbus Crew on June 22 will open this Friday.
The Sporting KC Academy U-15s and U-17s will travel to Maryland this week to participate in MLS NEXT Flex. The U-15's will play Met Oval (10 a.m. CT on Saturday) and Atlanta United (10 a.m. CT on Sunday), while the U-17's will face Ventura County Fusion (2 p.m. CT on Saturday) and De Anza Force (2 p.m. CT on Sunday). In addition, the Sporting KC Academy U-19s will continue their UPSL spring campaign at 2 p.m. CT this Saturday when the team hosts Sporting Wichita SC at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri. Sporting KC II will host Colorado Rapids 2 at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday at Rock Chalk Park on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek and the Frontier Division match-up will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com. Fans can also follow @SportingKCII on Twitter for updates.
