Sporting Kansas City News Release
Sporting Kansas City will host 12-time LIGA MX champions Chivas Guadalajara at 9 p.m. CT on Monday, July 31 at Children's Mercy Park in the Leagues Cup 2023 group stage finale.
The inaugural edition of the competition features all 47 clubs from MLS (29 teams) and LIGA MX (18 teams) in a World Cup-style tournament with the top three teams qualifying for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup. Sporting KC is in Group 3 of the Central Region and kicked off the competition with a 3-3 draw at FC Cincinnati on Sunday.
Tickets for the match-up with Chivas Guadalajara are available on SeatGeek and the international clash will be free to watch on Apple TV in English and Spanish via MLS Season Pass in addition to nationally-televised broadcasts on FS1 and UniMas. Local radio coverage will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM with streams in the Sporting KC app. All of the action will also be shown by pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network, including an enhanced watch party at No Other Pub featuring photo opportunities with the Leagues Cup trophy from 7:30-9 p.m CT prior to kickoff.
Earlier this month, Sporting Kansas City launched the first ever Sporting KC Pickup Club. This is a community club focused on giving fans access and information about pickup soccer opportunities throughout the Kansas City area. Players can sign up for the club here to get news and information on unique pickup soccer events happening each month.

Sporting KC and the KC Current will host a FIFA Women's World Cup watch party at 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday in KC Live! at the Kansas City Power & Light District for the U.S. Women's National Team's match-up with Netherlands in a rematch of the 2019 FIFA World Cup Final. Fans of all ages are invited to cheer on the No. 1 ranked USWNT alongside fellow soccer supporters and FOX is expected to have a camera in Kansas City to capture the sights and sounds as part of the network's World Cup coverage. Tickets for admission to the watch party are free to reserve in advance via SeatGeek and entry to KC Live! will begin 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
Sporting KC will host the Sporting Classic from Aug. 25-27 with matches to be played at Central Bank Sporting Complex, Compass Minerals Sporting Fields and Compass Minerals National Performance Center. The tournament is open to U8/U9 (2016/2015) to U15 (2009) boys and girls teams and the deadline to register is this Friday.
After a 2-1 win on Saturday, Sporting KC II will continue the MLS NEXT Pro campaign when SKC II hosts league leaders Colorado Rapids 2 at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek and the Western Conference match-up will stream live on Apple TV via MLS Season Pass. Next week, Sporting KC Youth Soccer will host the Goalkeeper & Striker Summer Camp from July 31 to August 3 at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri. The four-day camp will be held from 9-11 a.m. CT each day and is open to boys and girls of all skill levels from 7-14 years old. Visit SportingKCYouth.com for more information and to register.
Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members, as well as members of Sporting Kansas City supporters groups, are eligible to receive complimentary tickets for Sporting away matches. Requests will open this Friday for MIAvSKC on Sept. 9 and requests for the highly-anticipated match-up with Inter Miami CF will close at 12 p.m. CT on Monday, July 31.
