Sporting Kansas City (11-4-7, 40 points) extended their MLS unbeaten run to six matches on Saturday with a 1-1 home draw against the Colorado Rapids, moving within two points of first place in the Western Conference.
Manager Peter Vermes' side will now prepare for a pivotal road match against LAFC (6-9-6, 21 points) on Friday with kickoff set for 9 p.m. CT at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Bally Sports Kansas City Plus, Bally Sports Midwest Plus, BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app will provide three hours of regional coverage beginning at 8:30 p.m. CT. The game will also air nationally in Spanish on UniMas and TUDN while streaming in English on Twitter at @TUDNUSA. Two Sporting players have traveled to Europe for the continuation of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying in the UEFA region. Midfielder Gadi Kinda and Israel will visit the Faroe Islands at 1:45 p.m. CT on Wednesday before hosting Austria at 1:45 p.m. CT on Saturday. MLS All-Star forward Daniel Salloi, meanwhile, has joined Hungary for a home match against England at 1:45 p.m. CT on Thursday and a trip to Albania at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday. Fans can watch all four games live on ESPN Plus.
Sporting Kansas City captain Johnny Russell is one of four nominees for the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week. Russell's sensational free kick in Saturday's draw against Colorado moved him into a tie for ninth place on the club's all-time regular season goals chart. Fans can cast their vote for Russell on Twitter until Wednesday.

Sporting Kansas City II (3-12-7, 16 points) will continue their USL Championship campaign with two home matches this week at Children's Mercy Park. Head coach Paulo Nagamura's side will host Birmingham Legion FC (11-6-3, 36 points) at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday and OKC Energy FC (6-7-8, 26 points) at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday. Both games will stream live on ESPN Plus.
