
Sporting Kansas City to Host FC Dallas on Saturday

Coming off two straight wins last week, Sporting Kansas City will continue their nine-game homestand at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park against FC Dallas on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT. Saturday's match will be broadcast live by KSMO and is presented by Sprint.
Sporting Kansas City leads the all-time series against FC Dallas with a record of 19-18-8 since the sides first squared off in Major League Soccer's inaugural season in 1996. Sporting Kansas City also holds a 10-7-5 advantage over FC Dallas when playing at home, but will welcome the visitors for the first-time to LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Saturday's match will mark the second meeting between the two clubs in 2011 after Sporting Kansas City topped FC Dallas by a 4-1 scoreline at Pizza HutPark on June 12th. Midfielder Graham Zusi tallied in each half while defender Aurelien Collin and midfielder Luke Sassano each scored the first goal of their respective MLS careers as Sporting Kansas City snapped a 10-game winless streak just three days after opening LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
FC Dallas (12-7-7), currently sitting in third place in the Western Conference, enter Saturday night's contest following a 1-0 win over Toronto FC on Thursday in CONCACAF Champions League play. The match between the two MLS sides first kicked off on Wednesday night, but inclement weather forced the match to be replayed the following morning. The two sides played a full 90 minutes on Thursday, with newly-acquired defender Jack Stewart scoring the winner for Schellas Hyndman's side.
Sporting Kansas City's injury worries are clearing up ahead of Saturday's clash. Collin (lower back fracture) has been upgraded to probable while captain Davy Arnaud (sports hernia surgery) is also now available for selection. Defender Daneil Cyrus (L foot fracture) and midfielders Craig Rocastle (R knee sprain) and Sassano (R knee sprain) are out while midfielder Jeferson (R quad strain) is listed as questionable.
For FC Dallas, defender Edson Edward (R ACL tear), midfielder David Ferreira (R ankle fracture) and forward Maykel Galindo (R hamstring strain) will all miss out, while second-year defender Zach Loyd (R hamstring strain) is listed asquestionable. Midfielder Daniel Cruz is suspended for the match after beingshown a red card in FC Dallas' 1-0 loss to Seattle Sounders FC last Saturday.
A limited amount of tickets for the match are still available, and can be purchased here. Due to high demand, $15 standing room only tickets have also been made available for purchase at the LIVESTRONG Sporting Park box offices.
Fans are encouraged to arrive to LIVESTRONG Sporting Park as early as possible on Saturday. The first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive a limited edition 2011 team poster courtesy of Sprint. Immediately following the match, Samantha Fish will perform in the Sprint Plaza as part of the Live at LSP concert series. Also following the match, Sporting Kansas City will hold a team autograph session in the Sprint Plaza for fans in attendance.
