SANDY, Utah (Friday, August 26, 2011) - Real Salt Lake (10-7-6, 36 pts.; 5th in West) will end its current three-game road swing tomorrow, Saturday, August 27, when the Claret-and-Cobalt will travel to Southern California to take on Robin Fraser's Chivas USA (7-9-10, 31 pts.; 7th in West) side. Kickoff from The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. is set for 8:30 p.m. MT for a match that will be televised nationwide on FOX Soccer and can also be followed live on RSL's official radio partners - ESPN 700 Sports (pre-game coverage begins at 7:30 p.m.), ESPN Deportes 1600-AM and Juan 106.1-FM.

RSL "Game Note" of the Match: Need a Result, Stat

With a win or draw at The Home Depot Center Saturday, RSL would avoid a third consecutive MLS loss - something that has happened just once since Jason Kreis became head coach, back in July of 2007 ... After just 10 MLS, U.S. Open Cup and exhibition games into Jason's career, during an active period of player movement in and out of Jason's system, RSL suffered a home loss to Toronto FC on July 4, following that up with road losses at Columbus and Kansas City ...

If you include all competitions, RSL has not lost three consecutive matches since May of 2008, when road losses at Colorado and Dallas were followed by an Open Cup loss at Columbus - the only time in Jason's 4 full seasons at the helm with back-to-back-to-back losses ...

Real Salt Lake has enjoyed a significant amount of recent success against its 2005 expansion partner CD Chivas USA, losing only once in the teams' last seven regular- and post-season meetings, including a first-round playoff series victory in 2008 ...

The games are usually tight, however, as only six of the 21 all-time meetings have been decided by more than one goal ... On the plus side for RSL, however, is the fact that nearly a third of the team's all-time road wins have come at the Carson-based facility, RSL winning 5 times in 19 tries against Chivas and LA Galaxy at The Home Depot Center ...

In last year's visit to The HDC, FW Fabian Espindola provided the late heroics, answering a late equalizer by SLC native Justin Braun with the game-winner in the 89' to give RSL a 2-1 victory at The Home Depot Center ... RSL is 6-9-4 overall in regular season play against Chivas USA, which includes a 2-7-1 away ledger (6GF/20GA)
