Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs will return from a nine day holiday break with two games in as many nights in Prince George versus the Cougars, the BC Division's fourth place team. Spokane sits in fourth place in the US Division with a 15-17-1-0 record and 31 points. Mike Boyle will go on the air each night with Comcast Hockey Tonight at 7:00 on KJRB 790 the Fan. Gametime is scheduled for 7:30.
Spokane is locked in a division battle that sees just three points separating second and fifth place. Everett, with 36 games played, is currently controlling the US Division with 43 points, a full 10 points ahead of the Portland Winter Hawks, who have played four fewer times. Seattle is third with 32 points, followed by Spokane with 31 and Tri-City with 30. The Americans have played a league low 31 games.
The Chiefs trip to Prince George begins a week of four games in five nights, including Spokane's annual New Year's Eve date with the Americans in Kennewick. In between those games, the Chiefs will host the Kootenay Ice in their lone home game of the week and first since December 16th. Spokane has traveled to Cranbrook, BC twice this year and has yet to host the Ice. The game will be Spokane's 36th of the season, the half-way point of the year.
Tickets for all home games are available at the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
