Milwaukee Wave News Release

MILWAUKEE, WI (Aug. 9, 2007) - Fund raising is the lifeblood of nonprofit organizations, and the Milwaukee Wave aim to help them make a "Splash" in that crucial effort this year.

The Wave's new Splash program will generate a $2 donation by the Wave back to the nonprofit for every ticket voucher the organization sells to a 2007-08 Wave game. Regular ticket prices range from $16-22; each voucher will be sold at a $2 discount and is good for any of the 15 home games on a space-available basis.

"Throughout their history, the Wave have been community focused," said Matt Schroeder, director of public, media and community relations for the Wave. "We make dozens of school appearances every year and work closely with youth soccer organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin. 'Splash' is a great way to extend this support to the hundreds of nonprofit organizations in the metropolitan area."

Participation requires no investment on the part of the nonprofit, aside from posting the Wave logo and link on their web site. Those who participate will receive as many vouchers as they request; each time one is sold, it is filled out with the name of the nonprofit and then returned to the Wave in exchange for a ticket. At the end of the regular season next April, the Wave will donate to the nonprofit $2 for every voucher redeemed.

The Wave will also provide a logo with link to the nonprofit's web site at www.milwaukeewave.com.

The Major Indoor Soccer League's regular season begins Oct. 19 and the Wave's home opener is Nov. 3. Fifteen home games will be played on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the winter and spring. Milwaukee also is the host of the 2008 MISL Championship Final on April 26.
