Spitifres and RMBA Take On Local Media In The 2nd Annual Spitfire vs. Media/Celebrity Softball
August 5, 2010 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Windsor Spitfires News Release
The Windsor Spitfires along with their partner the Riverside Minor Baseball Association invite you to attend and participate in our 2nd annual Spitfire vs Media/Celebrity, Charity Softball 3 Pitch Classic.
The game will be held Friday, August 13th, 2010, at the Riverside Baseball Park located behind Riverside Arena. Events will begin at 6:55 pm beginning with introductions. We ask that you arrive at 6:15 and report firstly to the Baseball Centre across from the ball park, in order that we may distribute game jerseys, and make starting line-ups.
Additionally, there will be a Home Run Derby and Charity Target contest preceding the game.
As you may know, the Spitfires are looking for revenge this year, as you, the Media Personalities, defeated them last year, and we understand they are bringing their big guns out this year to counter the Media's power and speed from last year.
We ask if you could advise by return email or call to let us know if you will be able to participate. We would love to see you there. All net proceeds will be going to the Spitfire Foundation. If attending, please let us know the size and number you wish on your jersey and we will try to accommodate.
After the game, please join us along with your competition for after game conversation, exaggerated stories, food and beverages at: Just Your Average Joe's Sport Bar, 1286 Lauzon Road, Windsor, Ontario.
We thank you for your consideration and no matter what your capabilities, we will find a place for you at bat or in the field, even if we have to hide you somewhere.
