Spitfires Sign 2nd Round Pick Liam Greentree to an OHL Standard Player Agreement

The Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce the signing of Liam Greentree to the Red, White and Navy for the 2022-23 season.

Greentree was selected #34 overall by the Spitfires in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection draft. Liam hails from Oshawa, Ontario. He stands at 6'2 and weighs 195lbs.

Greentree played for the Markham Majors during the 2021-22 season. He recorded 13 goals and 12 assists in 22 games played during the season. In the OHL Cup, Liam scored 3 goals and recorded 4 assists for 7 points in 6 games.

The Oshawa native is excited to be joining the club.

"I am honoured to be drafted to the Windsor Spitfires." Greentree started. "This is a nice reward for all the work I've put in for the last few years. I can't wait for the opportunity to represent such a class organization and play in such an amazing atmosphere."

Bill Bowler spoke on Greentree putting pen to paper.

"Liam is a big versatile forward that has a tremendous upside." Bowler said. "He is a character kid that we welcome to the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club."
