Spitfires Lose to Attack 6-2

The Spitfires traveled to Owen Sound for a matchup with the Attack. The Spitfires won the first matchup 4-3 in OT at the WFCU Centre back on November 24th.

In the first period, the Owen Sound Attack scored two goals a minute and a half apart just six minutes into the game to take a quick 2-0 lead. The Spitfires struck back just one minute later to make it a 2-1 game. Douglas got his 21st of the season. But late in the frame, the Attack scored to restore their two-goal lead. After one period of play, shots were in favour of the Owen Sound Attack 21-7.

In the second period, the Spitfires struck quickly to make it a 3-2 game. D'Amico got his 19th of the season. The Attack added two more to finish the period up 5-2.

In the third frame, the Attacked scored another and took this game by a score of 6-2. The Spitfires had seven minor penalties while the Owen Sound Attack only had 2, one nullified from being 4 on 4.

The Spitfires' next game is home on February 6th versus the Hamilton Bulldogs. Puck drop at 7:05 pm.
