
Spitfires Acquire Goaltender Joseph Costanzo from Niagara in Exchange for Draft Picks

The Windsor Spitfires have acquired goaltender Joseph Costanzo from the Niagara Ice Dogs in exchange for Windsor's 4th round pick in 2023 and a 12th round pick in 2026.
Joseph was drafted by the Ice Dogs in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection in the 2nd round and 23rd overall. Costanzo is from Toronto, Ontario and stands 6 feet tall.
The netminder appeared in 17 games for the Ice Dogs during the 2021-2022 season recording a 4.92 GAA and a .879 save percentage with a record of 5-10-0. The Ice Dogs failed to make the playoffs.
General Manager Bill Bowler spoke of the acquisition of Costanzo.
"Joey is a welcome addition to our hockey club." Bowler said. "He is ultra competitive and has a lot of potential. He was a second round pick that we liked in his draft year."
